The Team Behind Your Garden City Smile

As Dr. Henry Maccaro’s wife, I have been by my husband’s side and involved in the pediatric dental practice since day one. I help make our vision become a reality: to be a health-oriented dental practice offering the highest quality personalized dental care possible. I am blessed to be a part of a team that is truly like a second family. We are always there for each other every day, both in and out of the office. When I’m not in the office, I love being outdoors, connecting with nature, and playing golf. Most of all, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our sons Justin and Alex.

For many years, I had the honor of being the first smile you saw when you walked into our office as I was a part of the front desk staff. I’ve been a part of the Maccaro Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry team since 1993. I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way, and I treasure every friendship I’ve made. Although I now work remotely from my home in Georgia, I love that I still get to stay connected with many of our patients through phone, text and even Facebook. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband Hector, our two rescue pit bulls Dulce and Steele, and of course, our beautiful grandchildren.

I’ve been with this practice since 2019. If I’m not updating or balancing the financial reports, you may see me at the front desk helping you check out or you’ll hear me as a cheerful voice on the phone. Waitressing for many years made me a genuine people person and taught me to multitask. Outside of the office, I love spending time with my family. If I’m not here, I’m down in Long Beach with my husband!

I joined the practice in 2025 as a Scheduling Coordinator, and now you’ll find me at the front desk welcoming you, helping you check out, or laughing at someone’s joke. I was born in Guyana and moved to the U.S. at age five, and before turning 18 I had already lived in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, and Florida—so I’m pretty adaptable! I love staying busy and helping anyone I can. Outside of work, you’ll usually catch me spending time with my boyfriend and friends, or lounging on the couch with a romance novel in hand.

I am a Long Island local, currently pursuing my master’s in Human Resources Management at Adelphi University. I understand how life-changing a confident smile can be and I enjoy working with patients of all ages, from kids getting braces to adults who didn’t get the chance to fix their smile before or forgot their retainers (no judgment here!). I also lead the office’s Instagram and marketing efforts. Outside the office, I’m a proud cat mom to Cornelia, Midnight, and Willow and I love concerts and Broadway, especially Taylor Swift!

I started working with the Maccaro Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry team as a dental assistant in 1993, and then went back to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. As a dental hygienist, I enjoy educating and engaging both the children and their parents on achieving optimum dental health. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my husband and our dogs and improving my mind, body, and spirit through the practice of yoga. I like to spend time at the beach with friends and take advantage of all the beauty Long Island offers.

I’ve been with the Maccaro family since 1995. I’m a proud mother of a 26-year-old son who is a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. With no baby in the house anymore, I adopted an adorable dog named Bowser, who is a coonhound mix. I was born and raised in Slovenia and travel home to see my family as often as possible. I like to swim, go to the beach and spend time with my new little four-legged fur-baby. The quote I live by is, “When life gives you a kick in your ass- kick back harder”.

I’ve been a dental hygienist at Maccaro Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry since 1993. In fact, I’ve been friends with Santina, our administrative coordinator, for over four decades! I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart Joe for over 28 years and have two college-age children, Joseph and Daniela. I’m happiest when I’m around friends or reading a good book. Besides caring for your smiles, I’m here to support you personally with love, consideration, and positivity!

I have over 20 years of experience and have been part of the Maccaro practice family since March of 2018. I work side by side with Dr. Justin as his certified dental assistant. I’m married to my husband Phil and have two beautiful little girls at home, who certainly keep us on our toes. When I’m not busy working in the office or on mommy-duty, I enjoy kickboxing, MMA, and fishing. I’m happiest when I’m at the beach enjoying long days with my family! I live by the quote, “If you can be anything in the world, be kind.”

I’ve been a dental hygienist for more than 18 years, primarily in pediatric care, helping children and families feel comfortable and confident. I enjoy building strong relationships with families and watching patients grow over the years. My primary role is dental hygiene, although I also help the orthodontic team when needed. I’m grateful to be part of a compassionate, family-focused practice.

Danny has been a patient in our office since he was a young boy and is now a very special part of our team. He comes in weekly to help with office duties and always manages to be the best part of our day with his sense of humor and warm hugs. It’s easy to see how loved he is by people both inside and outside the office.

When Danny is not at school or working in the office or at ShopRite, he enjoys using his iPad to talk with his lifelong sweetheart, Brianna, spending time with family and friends, and watching his favorite movie, Frozen. Danny’s mantra is ‘I love to be loved and accepted just the way I am,’ and we could not agree more. We love you, Danny!
