Dental care from people who care.

Welcome to the Maccaro family!

Transforming Lives by Improving Smiles!

Being an orthodontist is an amazing job. The most rewarding part is watching each patient's self-confidence and personality transform along with their new, beautiful smile. I get to give my patients something that will positively affect their entire life, for the rest of their life. I often think about my patients, ten years from now, walking into a job interview with confidence and a shining smile.

Orthodontics is also a lot of fun! Each patient is a unique puzzle for me to solve, figuring out exactly where I want to get them to and how to achieve the best smile for them. I strongly believe in providing each patient with the most advanced care options, combined with a traditional, hands-on approach providing the best of both worlds.

The most enjoyable part of the orthodontic experience is building relationships with my patients. It's wonderful to help them achieve their goals through the power of an incredible smile. As an orthodontist, I have the unique pleasure of seeing my patients every month, watching them grow, and learning all about their lives and dreams. — Dr. Justin Maccaro

Join the cavity-free generation!

For a pediatric dentist, every day and each patient is different, bringing new joys and challenges. My greatest reward comes from reassuring a previously frightened and crying child, along with their nervous parent, and seeing them leave with happy smiles.

I'm passionate about helping children grow up without dental disease or fear of seeing the dentist. Being part of creating a cavity-free generation is truly amazing.

I'm people-oriented and enjoy getting to know each patient on a personal level. I love hearing about their day, adventures, and dreams. It's a pleasure to watch these children grow, excel, and become amazing adults. I enjoy graduating them to adult dentists, with healthy smiles and the knowledge needed to keep them in great shape for years to come. — Dr. Henry Maccaro

More than Staff…

Linda

OFFICE MANAGER

I have been by my husband's side and involved in the pediatric dental practice since day one, helping to make our vision become a reality- to be a health-oriented dental practice offering the highest quality personalized dental care possible. Now, we have the privilege of having our son, Dr. Justin Maccaro, an orthodontist, join our dental team. I am blessed to be a part of a team that is truly like a second family. We are always there for each other every day, both in and out of the office. When I'm not in the office, I love being outdoors, connecting with nature, and playing golf. But, most of all, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our sons Justin and Alex.

Sam

TREATMENT COORDINATOR

I joined the practice in 2021 as Dr. Justin's Treatment Coordinator and have loved welcoming orthodontic patients into treatment at our office since! I'm originally  from upstate New York and went to college in Virginia but have loved living in Brooklyn since. I'm a busy bee who chooses to see the glass half full. Outside of work you'll catch me spending time with my friends who are like a second family to me. I’ve always enjoyed staying busy and active with exercise and athletics especially indoor volleyball. I also love traveling, biking, skiing, and am the most content roasting in the sun on the beach!

Santina

ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

I'll be the first smile you see when you arrive as part of the front desk staff. I've been part of Maccaro Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry since 1993, and I've met so many wonderful people along the way and treasure our friendships. I look forward to getting to know you and your family, too! When I'm not working, I love spending time with my husband hector, my nieces and nephew, and my childhood friends. I enjoy cooking, traveling, laughing, and appreciating life in general.

Tana

DENTAL HYGIENIST

I started working with our team as a dental assistant in 1993 and then went back to school and earned a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. As a dental hygienist, I enjoy educating and engaging both the children and their parents on achieving an optimum dental health level. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my husband and our dogs and improving my mind, body, and spirit through my practice of yoga. I like to spend time at the beach with friends and take advantage of all the beauty Long Island offers.

Theresa

DENTAL HYGIENIST

I've been a dental hygienist at Maccaro Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry since 1993. In fact, I've been friends with Santina, our administrative coordinator, for 40+ years!  I'm married to my high school sweetheart Joe for over 28 years and have two college-age children Joseph and Daniela. I'm happiest when around friends or quietly reading a book. Besides caring for your smiles, I'm here to support you with love, consideration, and positivity!

Irena

DENTAL ASSISTANT

I've been with the Maccaro family since 1995. I'm a proud mother of a 26-year-old son who is a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. With no baby in the house anymore, I adopted a cutie named Bowser, a coon hound mix. I was born and raised in Slovenia and travel home to see my family as often as possible. I like to swim, go to the beach and spend time with my new little four-legged fur-baby. The quote I live by is, "When life gives you a kick in your ass- kick back harder."

Shawna

ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT

I have over 20 years of experience and have been part of the dental practice family since March of 2018. I work side-by-side with Dr. Justin as his certified dental assistant. I'm married to my husband Phil and have two beautiful little girls who certainly keep us on our toes. When I'm not busy working in the office or on mommy-duty, I enjoy kickboxing, MMA, and fishing. I'm the happiest when I'm at the beach enjoying long days with my family and live by the quote "if you can be anything in the world, be kind."

Bonnie

ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT

I've been with the practice as an orthodontic assistant since 2020. After moving from Guangdong, China in 2013 to NYC I was able to pick up English very quickly making it three languages that I'm able to speak fluently in including Mandarin and Cantonese. Before getting my dental assistant certification in 2016 I also worked as a professional swim instructor and model in the NYC area. I' love the outdoors, especially if it is skiing or spending time with my two shiba inu's.

Anna

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR

I’ve been at the practice for almost 5 years now. If I’m not updating or balancing the financial reports, you may see me at the front desk helping you check out or the cheerful voice you'll hear on the phone. Waitressing for many years has made me a genuine people person and taught me to multi-task. On my past time, I love spending time with my close-knit family. If I’m not here, I’m down in Long Beach with my boyfriend!

Danny

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Danny has been a patient in our office since he was a young boy and now forms a very special part of our team. Danny comes in weekly to help us with office duties and always manages to be the best part of our day with his funny sense of humor and warm hugs and kisses. We have learned that not only is he loved and admired by us but by so many. When Danny is not at school or working either in the office or at Shop Rite, he enjoys being on his iPad talking to his life-long sweetheart Brianna, spending time with his family and friends, or watching his favorite movie, Frozen. Danny's mantra is " to be loved and accepted just the way I am," and we could not agree more! We love you, Danny!
